Insiders Dumping US Stocks?
I came upon this interesting article today.
The article focusses on 401(k) plans and may not be of any interest to most of you.
However, there is something that really shocked me.
Insiders are selling stocks like anything...
Quote:
|
In August, corporate insiders -- officers and directors of public companies -- sold nearly 31 times as much stock as they bought. From last September through this past March, in the depths of the bear market, that ratio was just 2 to 1, according to TrimTabs Investment Research of Sausalito, Calif. The long-term average is about 7 to 1.

As Eric Rosemen put it....
"Insider Selling turns into Dumping in August"..
The data shouldn't be used to draw any conclusions, but it is clear that employees of companies aren't that confident of a recovery as the general market is.
