Default Trading - Minimum Percent Gain to Make Profit?

Hi,

I want to know how much minimum percent gain I need to make to gain even a single rupee. Actually I want to know how much taxes and extra expenditure occur in buying and selling stocks. I use HDFCSec and I saw it costs around 0.7% in buying. Am I calculated it right?
I never sold any stocks. I am new to this field.

Thanks,
Satya

Sell side it would be 0.72% which includes brokerage, GST on brokerage, SEBI TT, STT, other levies.

Yes your buy side calculation is correct. It is 0.7%.

But you have to note one minor point here. You can't just sum 0.7% + 0.72% on your original buy price. Because the sell side percentage is based on the value of the selling price.
