The technical downtrend seems to be very powerful. It's dragging the FMCG stocks down too, which were in a state of a steady uptrend to sideways consolidation till now.

A bear market is always more widespread compared to a bull market and so an investor shouldn't be surprised if almost all stocks go down in a bear market.

Compared to other sectors, FMCG is still doing very well. HUL almost touched 52-week high today. ITC is still above its 200 day EMA.

Many other FMCG stocks are above their 200 EMA as I pointed out in this thread:
