A few years back, I had looked at the CFA material offered by ICFAI.

It covered just the basics of Technical Analysis.

CFA is more about fundamental analysis.

If someone wants to learn technical analysis, CFA may not be the right choice.

CFA is only for those who are serious about a career in financial world. Just like CA, CFA requires a lot of hard work. It is not something that you can clear by studying for 10 days before the exams.

For Indians who want to learn technical analysis, books still remain the best choice.

In western world, there are separate certificate courses available for technical analysis.

e.g. Chartered Market Technician (CMT).

Quote:
The Chartered Market Technician (CMT) program offers a structured approach to study technical analysis and ensure all key areas are covered.
As far as I know, there is no such option available in India.
