Default Fear of Share Market

Hi Friends,

I had very bad exeperince of share market. When i was trade in 2007, that time market was so bullish.and suddenly my foot slip and i can see the price of my shares 30% to 50% down nowadays. That fear can't remove on my mind and soul.So now a days i choose NCD's ,debt.funds, fixed deposits.

Now i want to start 1st foot step in this market.so give me some ideas how i enter safely ? I want to know some basic funda'z of share market ..

-Cash reserves (liquidity on hand)
-The disciplines of picking stocks
-Investing formula
-Short term and long term attitude

will i start investing money only in reliance industries ?

Golden Rule: Be greedy when everybody is fearful and be fearful when everybody is greedy.

Time to enter was last year, this is the time to be careful.

For your background, I suggest a systematic investment Plan for 36 months (SIP) in a mutual fund.

After that hold the MF units for at least 2 more years.

After 5 years in this way, review your portfolio. You will see some profits and reduce your fear of the market :-)

Enter the market once again. This time a bit more cautious and more calculated than before. That's the only way to overcome fear of markets.
