Default Watch Out For....

Dear All,

I feel we need something like this to keep all the forum members up-to-date with the events in near future which are expected to influence the market. These could be local/global, anything from elections, financial results, holidays, etc.... and these are important because biggies are all eyes on these.

For example yesterday (24/10/08) RBI monetary policies were announced and market took a hit because there were not in line with the market expectations.

To start with "Next week is expected to mark the beginning of the US economy’s entry into a recession and the end of the Federal Reserve’s conventional monetary policy to remedy the situation."

29/10/08

The Fed’s FOMC is widely expected to cut the key federal funds rate another half point, to one percent.

30/10/08

GDP data for the third quarter is expected to show the US economy contracted for the first time in seven years.

Dear Alchemist, please feel free to re-caption / move this thread to the appropriate category.

Happy Investing and do keep posting!
