Default Tea Sector

It is a interesting read in outlook profit

It is a huge surprise that tea stocks outperformed sensex this year!

Reason: TEA prices have more than doubled.
Why? Drought like conditions in TEA producing states and ageing Tea gardens!

Gyan: India produces 50% of world tea!

There are 2 types of TEA company.

TEA producing companies/Plantation Players: McLoed Russel (Largest Producer of tea), Jayashree Tea and Harrisons Malyalam!

Branded Tea players or marketers: HUL and TATA TEA

Plantation players have almost doubled in last 3 months!

Buyers of tea: HUL and TATATEA will come under pressure and Plantation players will rise!

Take your pick

Charts will follow!

There's also Goodricke but I think it's only on BSE. Anyway, for tea-grower stocks, the train has left the station. I feel it's dangerous to buy now.

Today I bought Jayshree Tea 40 shares at around 105. Will buy further if see dips or will exit at 130 levels. No stop loss as I see less downside as fundamentally price will increase as production has been hit.

Tea production will be less and prices will march upwards. But wanted to know any more fundamentally strong stock to bet on?

Planing to invest 15000 total in this sector with 15-20% return in a year in this sector?
