jagatnibas is on a distinguished road
Default Rajiv Gandhi Equity Savings Scheme or RGESS

I understand that RGESS gives another 25000 as non taxable income over and above 1.5 lakhs if income is less than 12 lakh INR, is it net or gross?

If my taxable income is 1,176,784.70 after hra, conveyance and LTA as per my form 16, will I be eligible for RGESS ? I already have a demat account and some nominal investment in stocks, will I be eligible?

Your gross income should be less than Rs 12 lacs.

Also, if you have already done transactions in non-RGESS demat account, you are not eligible for RGESS exemption.
