Default One Stock

1) If I had to buy just one stock with the following conditions, what would you recommend that stock would be?

a) A group item
b) Large Cap (hopefully)

My personal preference is TCS or ONGC. Thoughts and Recommendations?

2) I want to do a SIP in buying that scrip for next 2 - 3 years. Thoughts and Recommendations?

There is no "holy grail" stock in the market.

Diversify and SIP into a basket if you want.

I guess he means a stock from BSE's "A Group" of stocks.

My recommendation - PIDILITE INDUSTRIES.

Won't let you down on the longer run. Truly, its AD caption holds good for this stock investment too - "Yeh Fevicol ka mazboot jod hai… tootega nahi"

Happy investing!
