I am short of time right now and I won't be checking the RHP for this IPO.

Most probably I will be applying as there is good demand for it in the grey market.

Applied 3 applications.

I selected cutoff price.

For one lot the amount should reflect 60 x 200 = 12000. While it shows Rs 11600. Should I edit to Rd 12000?

Seems it is taking lower price as a "cutoff" price?

Can anyone through light on it?

Happy Investing !

There is Rs 2 discount for retail investors.

I guess different banks are withholding in a different way (some 11,600 and some 12,000). However when you get an allotment only 11600 will be deducted (i.e. after the retail discount of Rs:2).

For me ICICI withheld 12000/-. So I think nothing to worry.

@niki_baroda, if the retail subscription is more than 1 time (application wise), it doesn't matter if you apply 1 lot or full application. Both would be treated in a same way. FYI, if you are not aware of this.

Yes, You are right. Banks are having different holding amount.

Like, I applied through SBI. It reflects Rs 12000, while Axis bank shows up Rs.11600.

Alchemist: Came to know later that we are given peanuts of Rs 2 to make us feel happy.

New method of through fix peanuts instead of giving percentage discount as like earlier issues.

Happy Investing!

It's an average company, nothing great about it.

IPO has been moderately priced.

One can apply for listing gains, but I won't suggest holding for the long-term.

Applied for 1 lot from 5 Separate accounts.

Not expecting allotment (retail oversubscribed almost 10 times) nor listing gain expectation even if I get lucky.

Got lucky with allotment this time. What are the views on HUDCO - sell on listing or can be safely held for longterm (at least one year)?

I haven't got any allotment, but if I had, I would have sold on listing or used a trailing stop-loss.

There are many better options available in the market.

I think it is better to invest in a pure housing finance company than a company like HUDCO which is a mix of housing finance and infra finance.

Also, the housing finance space is now getting crowded. NPAs are a big problem for the Indian financial sector. Financial institutions are aggressively trying to increase their market share in housing loans market as it is considered the safest. The sector will get a lot more competitive in the future. HDFC is already experiencing slowing growth. Smaller companies like Can Fin Homes are growing fast, but I am not sure for how long they are keep reporting these stellar growth numbers.

HUDCO's growth has been lackluster in the last few years. I don't see how that can change going forward.

Still selling pressure is seen. How long it will last?

If it comes around Rs 64-65 range, then I am thinking to add in long term portfolio as the company fundamental is good so as will get dividend later.

I think traders will drive the price now.

Happy Investing!
