Final subscription figures for L&T Finance Holdings IPO:

QIB: 1.93 times.
NII: 6.18 times.
Retail: 9.61 times.
Employees: 1.53 times.
Shareholders: 3.35 times.

Applying in NII category would have got investors more shares than applying in the retail category. .

If we look at the number of shares applied for, it is evident that retail investors have shown the maximum faith in this IPO.

or shall we say retail investors have speculated the most? .

QIB: 14,51,34,800 shares.
NII: 19,55,34,600 shares.
Retail: 70,92,26,000 shares.
Employees: 1,56,08,600 shares.
Shareholders: 7,89,40,600 shares.

Default Ltfh

Any idea about when will it list? As far as the market tit bits go, it seems this is first of IPO from many that L&T plans to shell out. They plan to list many of their divisions independently in the market.

If that is the case, they may want this IPO to perform well. Whether they can do it, needs to be seen.

Listing date? anyone?

Usually one week after closing date should happen the allotment.

Within week after the allotment would be listing date.

There is no fix date but to answer your question it should list around two weeks time after its closing date.

Happy Investing!

Default 52 Rs

Now this is surprising. Looking at the bids, I believe they had definite bids at 59 Rs a share for more than the full issue.

Their CFO, Y. M. Deosthale said, "While the IPO received good demand at different price points within the price band, to reciprocate the confidence that over 600,000 applicants have placed in us we decided to price the issue at Rs. 52. In line with L&T Group’s philosophy, this indicates our intention to build a long and mutually beneficial relationship with our prospective shareholders”

If it is indeed the case then this is truly amazing. +1 for L&T Management.

Any different thoughts on why lower price?

QIB demand for the IPO was very weak.

Maybe the management has realized that the IPO is over-priced and doesn't want the stock to go below the IPO price.

As you yourself stated, L&T group willing be coming out with many new IPOs in next few years.

It makes much more sense for them to let go of Rs 150 crore than to destroy the goodwill that "L&T" has in the market.

At Rs. 52 this represents great value! Now I wish I had put in more applications.

I will probably hold this for long-term now instead of selling on listing.

The IPO price band was 51-59 and thought the demand is at 59/-, still the issue price is set near to lower band. I think the company's statement is not in line with their intention. If this is the cause why they set the so high price band? Actually everyone be it L&T, Reliance Power or whoever it is, everyone wants to cash on their name and ask for high price.

I totally avoided this issue since very high priced. If market shows weakness on listing, I think it may even go below its issue price. Instead of keeping this share in portfolio, its better to have Banking stocks in the portfolio.

Other than the L&T name tag, I found nothing good in this stock in compare to Banking stocks like HDFC bank, Yes Bank.

Also rising interest rates will keep finance shares under pressure for some more time.

Since IPO allocation was at Rs. 52.00, I think we have received good value. I may not sell on listing.

In fact if it drops below Rs 47.00 I may even consider buying more.

Hi!

Did you register for NSDL e-speed facility for this or just sms alert service.

I understand from NSDL that sms alert is free of cost.

How about the e- speed facility? Is it worth to sign up for that?

Any idea about listing day?

Though I know it won't fall on listing but want to grab some shares for long term if it ever goes around 45 range.

ICICIDirect doesn't allow "allocating" shares before listing day.

You can allocate now.
