Sebi is stepping in to put a 25% cap on listing gains for small ipos.
Bad news. Saw this on cnbc tv 18.

This may seem to be a bad decision on the part of the people investing in the IPOs, but I think SEBI wants to do it to limit the number of small IPOs coming in the market.

With the number of IPOs coming these days, markets seem to be more concentrating on the IPOs than the secondary markets.

the cap is not for all ipo. its just a measure to contain high volatality of issue sizes less than 250 crores[ imagine a nissan/burnpur cements]
