Default PNB Housing Finance

Any views on this, especially negative? I think this might be a good long term bet with all the social housing initiatives etc which will only grow housing and hence their business. The one negative is that they obviously can't diversify into other business, since that is something the bank would do.

It's a good company, but the valuations are expensive too.

Buy only if you can hold for at least 5 years.

No doubt, housing finance is an attractive sector for investors, but there is a lot of competition too.

Maintaining exceptionally high growth rate and ROE is difficult with so much competition.

Thanks Alchemist. Will relook at this and take a call. It has come off lifetime highs so may consider exit post this year's results.
