Default Manappuram Finance

Why is this stock bleeding so much compared to others?

Is its growth story over?

I agree this is not a sound news.

Manappuram Finance tanks on huge volumes

But then why is Muthoot surviving this stress? Is its book much better than Manappuram?

Muthoot's average LTV is already below 60% and thus it will be less affected by RBI's new norms.

The company currently has a, LTV of 65 percent. Muthoot, on the other hand, has a LTV of 57 percent.
RBI blow: Manappuram looks set to lose more than Muthoot | Firstpost

I am not sure what exactly is the reason for Manappuram sharp fall in the last few days. Muthoot Finance has been comparatively steady in last few days.

Maybe there is something happening in Manappuram Finance that the general market doesn't know.

Default Is this worth investing?

Since the gold nbfc space is better regulated and manappuram is diversifying into different businesses now, can this make a turn around?

Is this a value buy now? Even though gold prices are going down can it survive?

Any thoughts from the experts here?

Most probably, it will survive, it is not a sick company. .

It looks good at this level, but I will be in a better position to comment once I go through its annual reports, financial statements etc. I will update in 3-4 days.

Default Muthoot & Mannapuram going to default

Both of them have leveraged heavily....gold to go 20K in jan/feb....default in payments of NCD etc will then begin by both of them....
NCDs of both are available at heavy discount...no buyers,,,,
No way both can survive ..very less diversification
