Default A.K. Capital Services

Here is another BSE-only stock that looks really cheap.

A.K. Capital Services is a merchant banker, focusing mainly on debt markets.

Some time back, Rajen Shah of Angel Broking had recommended A.K. Capital Services on CNBC TV18:

http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/sto...ah_434388.html

Cautionary note: I am a bit skeptical about stocks that aren't listed on the NSE.

It's better to have a limited exposure in such stocks.

I bought 15 shares @ 302.

No, I don't have any insider information.

In fact, I don't have much more to add other than what the above article says.

No targets as of now.

I wrote to the company and asked them why they aren't listed on the NSE.

I wonder if I would get a reply.....

The results were announced after marker closed on Friday.

They should be available on BSE's site on Monday.

The Q3 results are available on the company's site:

A few people, expecting a post-results rally, must have bought some shares.

There was no incremental buying after the results.

------------------------------------------

The stock fell on very low volumes.

Only 2442 shares were traded.

There was no major selling.

However, there were no buyers for the stock and whatever little selling was done, brought down the stock sharply.

Default AK Securities

Dear retail holders of AKS please hold on for two more months and see . I do not have any insider idea but the co. may declare a heavy bonus . From the price graph it looks someone is accumulating it to harvest all the benefits.

The stock is trading at 275/- per share. What is the mid-term outlook ?

The volumes are scarily low. So I doubt whether this is a good entry point ?

Yes, the volumes are low.

Most BSE-only stocks have low volumes.

The volumes rise when these stocks make sharp moves and thereafter the these stocks go into the oblivion.

This isn't a stock for a trader.

If you want to trade, stick to NSE stocks.

Is this a stock for the investor?

I don't know....

There is little doubt that A.K. Capital Services is a strong player in the debt market.

However, looking at the valuations that it is getting, it seems the market doesn't believe the financial statements of the company.

I have only 15 shares of A.K. Capital Service.

I have no intention of buying more - no matter what price I get.

Bought 30 Shares @260.

The stock seems to be going down with each passing day.

However, the fundamentals looks good and price is very atttractive.

Let's see, what awaits in the medium to long term.

Sold 8 at 354 yesterday.

For the remaining 7, I will use the 50 EMA as the trailing stop-loss.

I am not very confident about this stock.

The management has still not done the QIP issue which was approved in January 2010:

Quote:
3. Approved raising of funds by placement of equity shares to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) through Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) for an amount not exceeding Rs. 200 crores.
Source.

Sold my holding @394.

Though the fundamentals are still good, however I am somewhat skeptical about the management and decided to book profits.

The board is again going to discuss QIP on 4th August.

I hope something concrete comes out of the board meeting this time.

Otherwise, I will exit this stock.

Sold my remaining 7 shares at 448.

The company has declared a dividend of only Rs 6 per share, which I feel is too low compared to the profits that the company has been reporting.

I just read this:

A.K. Capital Services plans a 400 crore QIP issue.

Quote:
A.K. Capital Services plans to raise Rs 400 crore through qualified institutional placements (QIPs), a top company official said today.
Source.

If the company can do that, the stock may still have a lot of upside.

The company's current market capitalization is only 320 crore. .

Just saw the video on the link you posted.

The 400 crore will be in 2/3 tranches according to the management.

Default A.K.Capital Ser

A.K. Capital announced good result March 2012.

Net profit March 12 is 10.96 Crores compare to last quarter.

Price of the share is just half now. I am not sure why it is falling even though there is no negative in fundamentals if we look at the balance sheet?

I am definitely missing something here.

Alchemist I remember you had this in your portfolio earlier. Any update on it?

or it is just a financial sector which is butchered recently and that is the effect?

Happy Investing

One thing I notice is there are total 66 lakhs total shares out of which 59% is with the promoter.

Also eps is somewhat 80+ whereas fv still same 10 (so no split happened). For that doesn't the price looks too cheap?

Also in September 2011 the company featured in forbes asia 200 under a billion dollar company still the shares got no support?

Also in November 2010 the share was almost around 1000 price.

Also I don't think any MF holds stake in the company. There is something we are missing?
