Still did not see shares credited in my DP.

Not sure what is the wrong.

Applied through online bank. And allotment status on karvi website is showing correctly.

Happy Investing!

Same problem like Powergrid. I see in DP but not in demat.

IN8510A01019 - ENGINEERS INDIA LIMITED - EQ LISTING/TRADING APPROVAL AWAITED

Will it be cleared to trade within a day or two?

Can we just sell? Please update.

In case of Power Grid, the shares were "listed" one day after being credited.

I guess shares of EIL will be available from tomorrow.

If that is the case, then you can sell today because the delivery for today's trades will be done on Thursday (T+2 day).

The FPO shares have different ISIN and are still unlisted.

Maybe that is why you can't see them.

When I check my demat account from Kotak Securities' terminal, I can't see the shares, but when I check from the bank's website, I can see the shares.

Does ICICIDirect allows such preemptive selling?

I can't figure out a way of doing so via icici direct .

Only around 21 Lakhs shares out of ~1.2 crore shares of retail traded as of now. Already price is tanked like anything.

I thought I would wait for some time in the morning, now when I looked at the price I have to

Trading at Rs:147.65.

It will take some time for the FPO supply to be absorbed.

I expect the stock to go back to 154-155 in next few days.

Can't you sell the shares without having them in your demat account?

My broker (Kotak) allows selling shares even if the shares aren't present in linked demat account.

The new shares are going to be listed on Friday (28th).

I think those who sold yesterday (25th) will have to buy back the shares tomorrow (27th) in auction.

The stock price may spike tomorrow for a brief period.

27th Feb is trading holiday. I am not sure but I think those sold on 25th should be safe.

Yesterday also the volumes were higher and price is increased.

Not sure what was the reason.

Maybe some are confused with the dates and did short covering?

100,000 shares traded in first minute of trade.

Good to see that the price is holding in spite of the fresh supply from the FPO.

EIL has reached the 225-230 price range. What do people think about the mid term to long term prospects of this?

Alchemist had commented earlier during the FPO that if one believes that the Indian economy will do well in the coming months, especially after the elections, then this is a good stock to invest in. I think India might have a stable govt after the elections, so do it make sense to invest in this company for mid to long term horizon?

Appreciate your thoughts.

I may apply for a few shares.

It is difficult to say whether EIL will stay above the issue price next week.

I expect a small bounce later.

The stock is reasonably valued but overall market sentiment is poor and so caution is advised.

Only those who have holding power and can hold the shares for a few weeks should apply.
