Mini Index Derivatives To Be Discontinued
 
SEBI has decided to discontinue mini derivatives contracts for Nifty and Sensex.

This has been done to "to ensure that small/retail investors are not attracted towards derivatives segment,"

All existing mini contracts will last till expiry, but new contracts will not be issued.

The Nifty Futures Lot size will be reduced to 25 from Oct 31. I guess we will get improved liquidity ahead!
