Default Stock Market App for Android

I bought a new android phone and while searching for a stock market app on the android market stumbled onto a really very good app.

It's called Blue (https://market.android.com/details?i...ess.blue&hl=en). It provides real time tick by tick price (along with basic charting - including candlesticks) of the Nifty and most of the NSE stocks. Much better than the MoneyControl & Instocks App.

Have you tried Bloomberg app?

I use iPhone and I can't find this app in Apple store. May be it is only for Android market. So I can't compare these two apps. May be you can check and see the difference.

I have tried bloomberg too. It's okay but not as good as Blue in my opinion. Here are some screenshots of Blue on my new android device (Samsung Galaxy S2). I used the screen capture app for these photos.

1) Prices get updated in real time (Usually once every 1 to 2 seconds) - http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/893...0210122721.png The price flashes red for a fall and blue for a raise.

2) Real time candlestick charts (apart from line and bar charts) - http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/3...0210123745.png

3)If you click on a company (for example, Airtel here) you get news on that company. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/4...0210123903.png

4)Real time volume too. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/747...0210123922.png &

These are some of the features I have discovered in a days use. There might be more but it is a near perfect app for me as far as the stock market is concerned.

The only con I see is that the battery gets drained a bit faster for the streamlining of quotes and all. Its possibly due to the constant internet connection.

I like the NSE App itself. It updates the quote real time and really fast. You can create your own watch list and then it updates automatically. Link.
